7 May 2018 by Dean Mathieson
The young giants headed to Wangaratta on sunday to take on college in what both teams thought was a winable game.
The 1st quarter was an even affair with both sides kicking 2 goals apiece, Matt Johnston playing a great quarter in the ruck winning most of the hit outs.
The 2nd quarter saw college gain some momentum and kick 4 goals to 1, but with the giants not giving up, they managed 2 late goals (one after the siren to Mitch Hyland), to go to the halftime break only 8 points down.
