GIANTS VS BULLDOGS UNDER 14S

The giants lined up against the bulldogs today at Benalla showgrounds.
From the opening bounce the giants looked strong and ready to take there first win with Jack Gibson back from injury he was hard at the ball and doing a great job keeping Nathan Davies at bay. With the giants in front at quarter time by 1 point we were looking good.
In the second quarter the giants came out strong thanks to the captain lachlan Boyle with a lot of hard work at the ball. Angus O’Halloran fought hard in the back line but wasn’t enough to stop the bulldogs having a ten point lead at half time.
At the start of the third quarter the giants slowed down not manning up or being first to the ball. By the end of the third quarter the bulldogs had a thirty one point lead. Coach Dean Mathieson and assistance coach Matthew De Fazio frustrated with a poor third quarter
In the final quarter the giants started to fight back with a strong effort from Colby Mathieson who was strong in the back line. Jasper De Fazio and Will O’Donoghue fought hard all day getting the ball into the giants forward line for Hoby Tonks to score. With the giants only playing two good quarters of football they lost to the bulldogs who played a great four quarters of football with the final score
